Subject:Lightweight gear, NORD....
Hi all!
I have a question about the Nord stege/electro. I now have a Korg Cx3
v2, which I´m very happy with plus some cheap Korg X5D Synth for Piano,
strings and sound effects. The problem is, that I have to carry it all
to the rehearsal room once a week, since I won´t let it stand there for
a week (its in the middle of nowhere, so burlars might have a nice time
PLUS its damn cold in the winter there...). I will have to sell my car
in the future and will have to depend on the bus to get my rig with me.
So I need it lightweigth and compact. So for those who own the Electros:
Which will be the right tool for me? I will probably have to sell the
Cx3 (which will hurt) and perhaps the X5D (which will not hurt, but I
think I won´t get much money out of it...
So my question: Is the nord stage (compact?) equipped with waterfall
organ-style keys? I know the organs are decent, but what about the
pianos? There is a syntheziser in it. Sorry for the question if its
foolish, but i have really no idea about synthesis... Can I get
sound-effects (like starting helicopters and so on for the pink floyd
stuff) out of this? Are there pre-programmed things or do i have to do
it by hand? Can I connect it to the computer and program it there?
Well, as far as I know there are not many alternatives for me out there
are they? The Roland all-in-one-thing sound fine, but is much to heavy
and bulky... Suggestions?
Thanks for your time!
