Subject:Hammond Model A Project

Hello, Group.

I would like to buy a model A/AV in the near future (for the home)
several reasons: I like the smaller footprint, B3's are out of my
price range, many I have seen for sale are worn out from gigging etc.
(my opinion)

Questions:

1. What is the keyboard action like compared to an M3, B3 or similar?
2. Would the keycombs need to be reworked/rewound? due to age.
3. number of key contacts (each key) upper and lower?

I am primarily concerned with the keyboard and cabinet, as I could
pretty much replace/modify everything else from M3 and T-series
spare electronics I already have.

I am thinking of upgrading by using an M3 amp for percussion and
vibrato system for percussion. If I had to, I have two clean spare
T-series generators.

Thanks -Ken.

BTW: I currently own a T-series I have modified (removed speakers,
upper keyb harmonic foldback etc) I owned an M3 25yrs ago and did
an upper keyboard harmonic foldback on that as well.
