Subject:Re: OT ! - OT ! - OT ! New Music/ New Versions
OK Walter, there has to be one combination of all that great equipment you
own that will make it easier for you! I wish I could zip down the coast and
help you figure out that Tascam. My Yamaha AW16G is a bit confusing as well
but I am slowly getting there. Between the 2 Yamaha's (PSR3000 Arranger) I
have my hands full with YammieSpeak! All the virtual means is that you can
have different versions of tracks and mixes by clicking over to different
spots and using that. This threw me as well but I belong to the AW16G Yahoo
Group and went through the archives and there were post by people with the
same questions I had. Of course it's easier to just go to a studio and have
an engineer deal with all the technical stuff and we just play. BUT, these
new tools are relatively inexpensive and give great results. Keep plugging
away. For all your great advice and comraderie on these Yahoo Groups no one
has ever heard you play a note. All those gigs we do are the "virtual
tracks"!!! We know we were pretty good that night but no one really
remembers. Certainly not the half drunk audiences we were playing for! Maybe
they were paying attention and maybe not. Also 99% percent of all the songs
that inspired us were guys trying to play as well in a studio environment as
they could do it live. Leave your legacy with a CD of you playing your ass
off as I know you do. Get on it! Call your CD "Jake 92028". Great title. Be
inspired themewise with your life and what's around you. "Island Crossing"
is the area between I-5 and Camano Is. where I live. "Sunrise Blvd." is the
road to our farm. "Corgi Butts" are around me every day. We have 4 of them!!
www.myspace.com/maddoxpeterson Corgis have thir own MySpace. Check it out!
Anyway just trying to inspire you. Thanx for the kind words on MY progress.
I am going to try to come up with some new tunes here. I am really a
rock/blues player and just tap into the funk/jazz thing as I like it a lot.
My roots are playing with loud guitar players!!!
Have a great day my friend,
Norm
