Hi John (and the others too of course)
You are right, there are also influences of the sun temperature. They
are also visible on other planet. Thats a normal process and had impacts
on the climate on earth. As well, there are astronomical reasons like a
change in the earths orbit around the sun and somthing like that. But
every evidence shows that this is not correlated to the actual climate
change in such a dramatic way the pollution is.
It is not to late to do something, so I did not want to propagate a "sky
is falling" mentality. But we are damn close. So when I hear people
talking about this topic (espacially when speculating it could not be
our fault), I am quick to tell them the scientific point of view. That
may be inconvinient, but well, I think it is necessary. There are many
people (politicians!) who try to hand over all this to our children.
They are just wanting to make easy money, for just a year or two. We
have to realize it will be much more expensive to deal with the problem
later on.
So, enough of this from me, I hope i got clear what I wanted to say.
Again, no accusations. Just my (founded) thoughts.
greets
Michael
