Gentlemen & Lady's

I have seen report's that temp is also rising on our sister planet's.How are we responsible for that ? Could this be due to sun temp. rising?
Remember the mini ice age ? Therory is it was caused by a cooler sun . What is sun temp now ?
The climate has gone through changes ,both fast and slow since the begining .And will continue to do so no matter what we do .
I remember in the early '70's it was said we were heading for another mini ice age . What happened to that ?
Yes ,we do need to do something about polution . Let's not go ahead with a "Sky is falling" mentality .

Well, I just went 25 last week. But I got my first real (ok, L100)
Hammond with 17!... ;-) Now, that I am old and wise, I have sold my
Hammond years ago and went to a Laptop. Just a sign for getting older
(bandmates get older too) and not being able to pull the beast around
any more :-D

Well, don“t get me wrong but: There can be absolutely NO doubt about the
climate change. I am scientist. I have seen the data. There are (from
the serios, scientific point of view) not doubts that all we see now is
done by man. The snow you got is no evidence against the thesis - more a
proof. The climate is a highly complex system and when we talk about
temperature rise, the average temperature over years is meant. One
effect of this is, that the extreme weathers are becoming much worse and
come much often than before. Here in Europe, southern countries like
spain and italy are burned by forest fires, and they get worse every
year. More in the north, we got heavy rainstorm which cause flooding. I
have a nice example. Think of a ten sided dice which has one fire-symbol
and one rain-symbol. Everytime you get a symbol it will be either
rainstorm or fires. The numbers in between are the temperature. The
climate change does not just rise every number by 2 or 3 (thus rising
the average temp) but also changes the probability of fire or storms.
Now your dice perhaps has two fire symbols and two rain-symbols, the
remaining numbers are altered so that they have a wider spread plus a
higher avarage. So, you get snow perhaps more often than before. But
nevertheless, temperatures go up high.

So, well, I marked this OT. I do not want to start flaming or whatever,
just wanted to get it said. We have to do something. I think Live earth
is a good way where musicians can get the message to the people. But
everyone can do something! Tell the economy what we want when you go
shopping next time by just selecting carefully what you buy. Do you need
such a big car? Can you go shopping by bike? Is your TV on standby all
time? Why not pull the plug?

Well, I dont want to accuse. Just think about it. We all can do
something. We dont have the time to argue anymore.

greets from (rainy) germany

Michael
