Subject:Re: XK-3 software update

Thanks for the information. BUT do HS expect all of us XK-3 owners to sell our old XK-3 for peanuts and buy the new model - perhaps just to find out that it sounds a wee little bit better but still any NI software plugin (or similar) is lightyears ahead? I mean HS should have figured out by now that their target consists solely of people who know exactly what they want.

Here in Portugal one of the most sucessful artists: Pedro Abrunhosa, relies heavily on Hammond sounds. The keyboarder, Claudio, uses old Roland modules since a vintage B3 would be too heavy to haul and maintain - money is no issue.
Just saw The Genesis concert in Frankfurt: loved it! Awesome! Tony Banks uses a Korg Oasys and assorted keyboard contriollers and modules. They did a lot of 1970s stuff heavily featuring Hammond sounds.
Dear Hammond Suzuki: are you sleeping?

Your devoted fan and Hammond XK-3 system user,

After much pressing, Hammond told me no update to the XK-3. I
mentioned the Keyboard Magazine article which talked about it, and it
was like they never read it. I had to send it to them. they do have a
new leslie sim and other stuff coming out in the new XK model, but no
backwards rev.
