The fact that somebody listening to one of my Casio WK-3000 tracks (using a Wurly piano sound) said "Not sure if it's an old tube Wurly or a Nord Electro..." may have something to do with it. Oh, and that was an experienced Wurly tech who had been asked to guess what instrument I'd used. A piece of gear that costs 3 times as much doesn't necessarily sound 3 times better, or even as good. A lot of it is HOW you use a particular piece of equipment. I keep an open mind, which is why I use that Casio and no longer feel the need to get a Nord Electro. I used to use an old Casio CZ-1 synth and a Danelectro Rocky Road pedal, and other keyboardists would ask how I got my Hammond sound. I suspect that a lot of it was simply playing as if it WAS a Hammond and a Leslie.
