Yes, you are correct: those functions are not available in v1.x. v2.0 has been out for so long that I pretty much have forgotten about v1.x. Sorry!

If you want to continue to use v1.x firmware, then only a toggle function is available for speed control. I sell a halfmoon switch that will work in this manner; however, it doesn't have the visual feedback that you seem to be looking for. It is possible to make a special halfmoon that does what you want (switches at midpoint); however, it's not a foolproof system. If the switch falls back to the original position, you'll find yourself out of sync. There is no way in the CX-3's control method to detect a "tried to go to Chorale, but fell back to Tremolo" other than to use the sensing method added in v2.0.
