I just though of something and excuse me if it was already mentioned. You
might try to get a clean sound from the Pro 3x and use the overdrive from
the C1.You might try the high gain out from the C1 and the pre gain set low
on the Pro 3x(this is if the pre and post gains are based on the same
principals as the Pro 3t.
Do you use the C3 chorus with no sim or leslie and if so how do you like it?

I think Pro-3X is better than the leslie sim on C1 because when I
used the leslie sim, it sounded boomy and the bass wasn't that
clear. Then the mid-high was not strong enough. Of course, I tweaked
EQ, but I think Pro-3X sounded a little bit closer to the real thing
although the leslie sim on C1 is really good and better than Hammod
XKs. Plus, I like using the half-moon switch for Pro-3x which is
attached to C1. Thanks to Bruce!
I will spend more time to tweak Pro-3X and C1 tomorrow. When I use
Pro-3X, I use the mix output because Barbetta is too strong for Pro-
3X, so I need to mix the horn and the rotor. In that way, it sounds
more balanced. One of the hardest thing about Pro-3X is tweaking the
gain, the volume, and the FET mode because if you turn the nob, it
changes quite a lot. Well, I'll have to spend more time to tweak...
Since John Fisher is here, I want to ask you some questions. Why did
you ditch the tube? Does FET provide warm and thicker sound like
tubes? What do you think about the differences between Pro-3X and
3Tm? How do you tweak in order to get closer sound to leslie?
In Japan, Leslie 2101 got improved because HS started putting a tube
and some other stuff. It's called 2101p, and it's a little bit more
expensive, but they improved it. I would buy it if I could get it,
but HS in the US still sells the old version.
