Subject:Xk1 startup/power problem

I'm wondering if any other XK1 owners have experienced this odd bit of
behaviour.

I plug the XK1 in, then switch it on. Nothing. Off and then on again. This
time, the LCD flashes for a second, but then... nothing. Off and on, LCD
flashes, then the welcome message comes on.

If I turn it off and back on again, it fires up right away. If I leave it
unplugged for a day, the same symptons return.

I recall there were battery issues with the Leslie and wonder if it's some
flash ROM problem for he XK1
