a 2-12" open-back combo cab. The sound was very impressive. If you
play guitar, you really need to check this one out. (If not, drag
your guitarist down to look at one.)
I talked to John Fisher last year about an earlier model of the
above, the AR-112, single 12," 100w design. He suggested this SRV-212
soon to be available. I thought it would work fine for organ or EP
with more of an open-back sound when stopped - like the vintage
Roland JC amp series. I went ahead and got the AR-112 single 12"
version (dc'd now). It has a higher watt-rated speaker, an Eminence

It does sound fine for organ/EP. I've played this with my Pro145 on
one side and AR112 on the other... it's kind of like a Leslie 125
with organ input, so there's swirly sound everywhere. If I want to
stop it with the footswitch, the rotor stops with the chute pointed
at a small angle toward the front so the sound is projected through
the cabinet openings, same stop point every time. But on slow speed -
the EP sounds just like through a Leslie. This is really another cool
MS invention, the two 12"s should be terrific.
