Subject:Re: Shotgun on Sullivan-OT
Jerry Jr. used to mope around a club I played at irregularly regular
in Los Angeles :) It was out on Cahuenga toward North Hollywood. No
matter who was playing, eventually every band felt sorry for him and
let him come up and - play the drums and sing 'This Diamond Ring' not
at all badly in fact. It was sad, kind of like, 'C'mon man, get a
life or something.'
His dad is never going to die and leave the kid anything. Not after
two coronary bypass operations and refusing to quite smoking a
quarter-carton of cigarettes a day until his tar and soot coated
lungs developed sarcoidosis that needed the corticosteroid anti-
inflammatory drug prednisone just to keep him going - while blowing
up to 450 lbs from taking the drug. Prednisone is worse than a
Chinese restaurant, where instead of being hungry an hour later,
you're twice as hungry as you were half an hour later, and Chinese
food won't do it. I saw him after he must have got off that drug and
lost some weight, doing a guest part as a bum with Alzheimers on CSI:
Special Victims Unit. That Jerry ain't going anywhere. But neither is
the other one? Wj
