Yes, they have. But they can't register a trademark for "C3" because it is not "unique" as prescribed by US Law. "Rhodes" is unique, "Leslie" is unique (but how that got through is beyond me as it is more common a name than Rhodes, but likely has something to do with them carving out an "identity" in the marketplace, thus earning the trademark), Korg, and Nord are unique; but C3 in and of itself is not, thus, fair game.
