Subject:Odd CX-3 tones
Greetings,
I'm using a two manual set up with my CX-3: a Nord Electro for the upper manual, and the CX for the lower manual. I do this by using a split, and setting the split point all the way at the top of the keyboard. When I'm comping on the lower keyboard, intervals played in the top two octaves produce an odd sub-tone that is unrelated to the two notes being played. I think these subtones are present throughout the manual, but probably only become apparent in the top two octaves, as a kind of buzzing tone.
So, is this a characteristic of building tone with drawbars that is a part of the Hammond that I don't understand, or is there something else going on? I don't remember hearing this before when artists are playing bass and comping on the lower manual. Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks,
Randy Rush
