Subject:Re: How to pack a ToneWheel Generator under 70 lbs.

Hi Walter,

I'd be lucky if I should have a VOCE V5+ for sure.

I've posted here many times about my rig , let me
remember that my gear list has a VOCE module but it's
an older (still in operations) micro-BII (no full
poliphony) , saddly without drawbar control or mod
available (Dave confirmed that).

What still I didn't make was 'TUBEfy' the microBII
thru my Leslie preamp to know if effectively I get a
warmer sound in the meantime.

What you recommends sounds highly adviceable mostly if
one want to play out of the boundaries of a living
room :)

For gigging purposes , not my case at the moment,
think close to you as A V5 module (or VK8M ) seems to
be ideal , but in my case having the real thing is in
the list of unfulfilled tasks, let's say I will
restore just for fun.

The perfect mate for a mechanical leslie !

Furthermore the only remaining thing to buy is the TWG
as I've already spent more than coins buying dual
manuals, drawbars, swell pedal, tabs, halfmoon switch,
etc .....to be continued.

Love the vintage looking despite it isn't the short
way !

Thanks to all for the hints.

Rafael

Hi Rafael,

Why would you want to do that when a Voce V5 or V5+
already has the
best recreation of a B3 tonewheel generator sound with
percussion and
C/V with drawbars? I think you said you already have a
Leslie in an
earlier post. So get an older high quality controller
like a used
Roland A30/A33. Velcro your V5 on the end and plug its
output into a
preamp that will connect to the Leslie. If you don't
have the Leslie,
a Boss RT20 rotary effect sounds fine. Otherwise this
seems like so
much work to get a sound that you can get so much
easier with a
controller that you can split the upper/lower channels
on for upper
manual and left hand bass.

Regards ~ Walter
