Subject:CX3 Bass pedals and bassline sound??

Is anyone using bass pedals with the CX3 .. is it possible via midi?
I realise that you only get two separate voices so I understand that
the bass pedals setting will be that of the lower split.. which would
be okay as a setting of say 828 would work okay for both bass and
comping in the next octave.

Anyway, I can't seem to get a nice percussive edge to the bass lines
I'm playing (lefthand).. you know, like you hear on Jimmy records..
that whooshy subby click that propels the groove.. can I get it somehow?
