For my "house" job doing solo at a restaurant the low end on the 2101 is fine, but the location where they have me is pretty bass heavy. For my trio jobs I use either keyboard amp or small PA to fill out bass as well as add necessary volume. I did find that the XM-2 (and presumably the XK series) needed the sonic additions from the Speakeasy more than the other clones I've used in the past - Voce V5 & Nord Electro rack. It was possible to get enough bass response out of the XM as it was, but you needed to ramp the bass up anywhere from 6-9 in the eq section, depending on the upper drawbar setting.
