The raw sound of the Vintage CX-3, while not 100% authentic (I think they used 96 oscillators, so the foldback is a little different), is pretty good. If you want an idea of its sound -- through a Leslie, though -- listen to the Sports Album of Huey Lewis and the News, as Sean Hopper was a big fan of the CX-3 back in the day.

There is no vibrato/chorus whatsoever, which may or may not bother you. The Leslie sim was amazing in 1982, but pathetic by today's standards. Plan on adding an outboard simulator if you buy it.

Regards,

-BW
