Subject:xk-1, cx-3 question
I'm a new member of this group. I'm a jazz organist looking for a portable clone so I don't have to haul my B-2 & leslie around all the time. I'm considering either a hammond xk-1 or a korg cx-3. Using a controller for the second manual is very important to me (a capability I understand they both have). Midi pedals might be a future option if they could be had affordably (although the cx-3 does not have pedal tones to my knowledge). Unfortuneately, there aren't any stores in my area that have either board for me to test. I would love some feedback regarding the keyboard action on both the xk-1 and cx-3 and how they differ. What does each feel like and which do you think is closer to the real thing? Can shallow or deep triggering be adjusted on both boards?
In addition to that question, what type of controller would be best suited for a second manual with the xk-1 and/or cx-3?
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
