The sound is going to be generally the same, coming from the same sound
source, doesn't make sense to make one sound source for the outputs and
one for headphones?
It is possible that the headphone amp is processing the output in such
a way that some say sounds "better". The hotter signal (naturally
with a headphone amp ---what say 100-500mw?) may have some low-mid to
mid boost to it, whereas the main outs are pure flat range.
However you want to debate it, if it sounds good, enjoy it!
