Steve,
Are there any frequency shaping shaping/modifiying between the two
outputs? If not, the only possible perception of a better ‘texture’ would be
the result of more amplification and any changes to the signal made in the
process. It’s amazing what a hotter signal can do to following
electronics,,,sweet spot maybe???

Keith
The sound texture is 100% better coming from the headphone jack. Trust me
the outputs are very different.

Steve,
Why don't you just use left and right out? Combine 2 1/4" monos to a
TRS ¼"to preamp? Better match and should be a better S/N ratio. Keith

Just made a great upgrade to my rig. I changed my preamp inputs to be
stereo. I now just need one cord from my Nord & Alesis QSR. Both stereo
cords come from the headphone jack. The sound & control is
unbelievable....
