Subject:beatrix fun

All,

Hope you are having a great holiday. I have been having some fun getting
Beatrix running on my laptop and running it through its paces thru my
Decimator rig.

So far the verdict is, very not bad!

The Good:
- It has that basic sweet tone I have been noticing in the KeyB and DV
demos.
- I find the key click, and leakage to be the most authentic I've ever heard
in software or firmware.
- Chorus vib seems to be as good as the latest state of the art clones,
although I want to change some of the levels
- the thing is tweakable beyond measure.
- you have the complete source code. If you can read C code, you can change
anything.

The Not so Good:
- the reverb doesn't work at all. I have the leslie sim compiled out of the
program right now, so maybe I shut it off somehow.
- the percussion is very good except for a couple notes down low, which have
a pingy overtone. Not the entire low end, just a couple notes which is kinda
strange.
- I have my Nord Stage controlling everything but percussion and lower
manual vibrato. Haven't figured out why the CCs aren't working for those
yet.

If you like organs with lots of keyclick and leakage personality, this
could be fun for you.
