Well I have the Hammond V20R and on the front (under the toe section of the movable
pedal part on the upper body of the pedal base) it says Roland Japan.

Here are the numbers Roland / Boss EV5 at about $60.00 at most of the internet retailers
vs about $105.00 for the Hammond V20R. In the photos the Hammond V20R is shown
from the heel end looking at the right side of the pedal so you cannot see the adjuster on
the left side. The Roland / Boss EV5 is shown from from the left side and you can see the
adjuster. The XK-1 manual shows the adjuster.

I have the Hammond and yes they received and extra 45 clams over the cost of an EV5
pedal plus the vendor to vendor pricing deal they got from Roland.

I have not tried the FC-7.

PS if you feel really guilty about stiffing Hammond then donate 50% of the difference to
the muscular dystrophy association or families of SMA so that a cure for my daughter
might be found in her lifetime. (No pity party here she is a really neat person who is loved
and constantly uses her wheelchair to muscle me out of the way so she can get at my XK-
1 to play)
