Subject:Re: VB3 Demos on You Tube/ This thing is serious.....
Being able to disengage the foldback is one of the finer features of
my XK-3 System. You can make it sound like an original Hammond "A"
model and get those incredibly penetrating high notes and body
penetrating bass notes )on the lower keyboard), while still having
key-click, percussion, or pretty much whatever other Hammond legacy
signature sound there is.
I'm not knocking VB3 at all, but it sure would be nice to have the
feature of running any kind of clone software in yours/my keyboard(s).
I think the Hamichord is going to have a real big impact on the
market, especially if it can run other types of software. I'd like to
try one and see if I can afford it or not and if they will be
available in the USA at all. This kind of great competition is going
to make them all have to strive to be better.
I'm beginning to feel that clones are like tubes: They're all mostly
good, just different.
