I would avoid UPS, use FedEx or DHL if you can. I have seen numerous examples with family and friends of negligently damaged shipments and trouble with UPS afterwards getting things right even if insured. I was given this advise by a professional speaker repairman who ships heavy delicate items frequently.

Definitely ship the tubes in a separate box. Never ship an amp with
the tubes still in it. You can be about 99.9% sure by the time it's
delivered those tubes will be in pieces. I had to learn this the hard
way. I was lucky though. Only one tube ended up in pieces, the rest
just came out of their sockets.

I agree with Tony all the way, take it to the shipping carrier and
have them do the packing.
