I've noticed that the GC sales guys always seem to say the keyboard action is always better on the keyboard which is on sale or clearance...

The guy at GC told me that the S90 had a better keyboard. It felt the same to me so I verified with Yamaha and they said that the Motif and S90 were identical keyboards.

A difference in action may be a perception depending on what sample you are using. Perhaps the S90's triple strike sample makes the keybed "feel" different than that of the MO due to a difference in response?

Although some may disagree,

both Yamahas have identical keyboard beds, so I don't think there is a difference in action.

Hi,

When I asked my original question I did'nt know about

the Motifxs. How does the new piano on the xs compare

to the S90es grand piano? Do you think Yamaha will

come out with an s90xs? (I don't really need the

sequencer or sampling abilites of the Motif series,

but the added wave memory and arp. types would be

nice). Thanks for any help.
