Subject:Lubed the old '36 BC
I took this opportunity to AB it with my nord ... NO Chance .... My
A440 was gone on 16' bar and it was squeeky but after pusshing a
sponge on that tonewheel for pressure she was good as new.... So I
tried to find pullbar settings that were even close ... no luck ....
I grew up using a trek II with 2nd, 3rd, and 5th harmonic on it and
TONS of leakage .... plus the bottom octave folds over to the
beatiful sub tones.
My decision was that I have a very unique rig that I want it to sound
like and if this 1936 BC ever blows up ... I've lost my sound. So,
I've gotten the electro close but it just doestn have the guts and
personality of the B ... plus I have no foldback.... Even though
these are wonderful keyboards for a "B3" they arent the sound I want
and I'm wondering if I would get better results mimicing the guts and
perculiarities of my 36 with a V5+/B4 ..... just pondering and tired
what y'all think to get that nasty bleeding rigged together 1936 BC
sound out of a keyboard
I'm ramblin ... y'all talk to me
