Subject:Re: miking a MS Pro 3T and LP-120

Sorry I don't have an answer but I would like to expand the
question.I don't understand why everyone insists on having 2 mikes
for the "leslie" setup (I speak of upper and lower rotor). I too
BELIEVE it is best but would like to understand the logic.

Except for a better signal/noise ratio caused by being closer to the
sources, I don't understand why the mixing of the 2 sounds "in the
air" is worse than mixing the 2 sources in the mixer before going to
the power amp.

I am only talking about running a mono output because I don't use any
stereo at the outputs.
Any comments would be appreciated,
thanks,
LooseBruce

PS It seems that if you use 2 mikes for the upper you are getting a
different image than you would in real life also. Is this desireable?
