Subject:Re: Electro pianos

Sorry folks, but there is no such thing as ONE PIECE DOES IT ALL that doesn't have some "capitulations" that may or may not be to your liking. NO mechanic shows up with one hammer and a pair of pliers only and expects to do a good job. Do you want good tone, good playability, and portability? Yeah, well so do I. Guess what: I've tried every trick in the book, and unless you're happy with "organ sounds" combined with "Piano sounds" combined with "other sounds", you're not going to be happy.

We cloners want Great Organ (not good organ sounds), and I myself want Great Piano and Great Electric Pianos/Clav. The Electro gives me 2 of 3, with the added beauty of a lightweight package. Would I do a gig on ONLY this? I have had to out of necessity (my Motif was sent to the wrong airport), but no, given a choice, I would not.

Great tone and playability are much more important to me than being the first one out of a gig and the last one there.

That said, as my dedicated organ, the Electro rocks.

Chuck, sounds like you need to return that Nord where you purchased it
from, and get the model Casio you like. That will solve your problem.
