The last even mediocre review I read in keyboard was on some Ensoniq product (something newer than the Mirage). I remember they got tons of letters from irate readers who had just spent 2 grand on whatever the thing was and felt it was the best instrument ever. I think they want to keep both the advertisers and the readers happy. It would be interesting to see what would happen if a big manufacturer like Yamaha or Roland came out with some really awful sounding piece of junk.

Credibility? That is a joke. Although I have yet to read the Keyboard
review, I am curious if they even mention how important it is for SOME B3
players to have real drawbars and to have the controls in familiar places.
There are ways of doing this without trashing the product. However, my
experience with Keyboard clearly shows a clear bias towards advertisers.

That's an oversimplification. You have to factor that in, but you
also have to factor in that they need to maintain their credibility.
