Listen to All About My Girl by McGriff, or One O'Clock Jump by McDuff.
I personally don't find stationary Leslie to be an ugly sound at all.
I love it. Oh yeah, that guy Lonnie Smith seems to like it too.

Chorus has its place, but not everywhere. There is a ton of soul music
with stopped Leslie, BTW.
