Subject:Clarification, and a Shameless Plug...

If you compare my last two posts, it might seem that
I've managed to both promote the Nord organ engine
(Electro & Stage versions), and yet criticize it. But
it's been mentioned more than once - in threads over
the past couple of days - that all of this Clonewheel
gear is a compromise compared the 'real deal'. Some of
us feel more strongly about the tone generation, and
for others it's more about amplification and 'moving
air'.

In comparing the B4 to the Nord engine, it's simply
degrees of reality to my ears; plus, much of these
sonic issues are indeed subjective the individual
player's preference, and the situation in which they
are performing. But, compared to what was available
10-15 years ago, most of the current clonewheels are
quite an improvement...We've got some great choices
available to us these days.
