Subject:Re: XK3 to Nord?
As the Hammond sound is not a priority in your setup,
I can recommend the organ sound engine in the Electro,
or Stage models. It works extremely well in my rig,
and sounds great in a mix with amplified instruments,
etc. The rotary simulation is the most true to my
ears; and being that I use it alone about half the
time (utilizing a Roadbox III the other half), that's
important to me. I had a Hammond XM-2/XMc2...great
sound engine, but the 'standalone' rotary sim was
rather average, IMO - even after tweaking it a bit.
So, the smaller Nord Stage (76) seems to work best for
what I'm doing right now. And, you can get the same
organ sound engine in a smaller package in the Nord
Electro keyboards & module, or the Stage Compact
model...
