Ryan,

I don’t know if this will help but I can get a clean sound through the
preamp if I lower the gain on my amp, instrument and or preamp(vintage MS).I
get the hum only when there is too much gain from 2 sources combined.I Put
the gain for the preamp almost on full and lower the organ gain(xk3) and amp
gain to accommodate the hot signal produced by the pre amp.P.S. I rarely use
the preamp as I find id cuts the bass although I like what it does to the
mids and highs.

My preamp was upgraded to current specs last July and I did buy it
second hand on Ebay. So I can vouch for what Ted said as well.

I'm well aware that the preamp is not causing the hum, but it does
originate there. Both my keyboards have this same hum, but much less
pronounced.
