Dave:

Gossip and Rumor most often lead to disappointment or getting into flame contests.

Gee! Isn't this exciting for all of us who love that tonewheel sound?

As a company president and control freak myself, I empathize with your
desire to bottle up product introduction info until you care to publish.
But apparently you entirely miss the point of this list. If you would have
reviewed the archives before posting you would learn that we thrive on
gossip and rumor. We rankle at the thought that anyone (even Diversi) would
come here and threaten a member with the classic "Sopranos" line, " . . .
then this is a problem".

Well, right now is your chance to set us straight. What did Fredrico get
wrong, and what's the straight scoop?

Rather than let this thread remain "rumor and gossip" you've chosen to
officially interject the company. But then you deem to limit your
contrbution to mere censorship.

I can't conceive of a worse way to interact with this substantial group of
customers, prospective customers, dealers and market influencers than this
particular email. I see a textbook case of turning an opportunity to
enhance the "buzz" for a new product into a marketing disaster. What can
you be thinking?
