Hi Bruce,

That was already my understanding of how MIDI works.

I'm pretty sure that it isn't the MIDI signals coming from the D3M
that have to be altered. I'm sure the problem is that while the VK-8's
organ sound uses only the top contact on its own (upper) manual, it
doesn't do the same with any manual I attach as a lower part. I'm sure
it shouldn't be like this.

Bruce -- does the CX-3 use only the top contacts of a keyboard
connected as the lower manual? What about the XK-3 (with boards other
than the XLK-3), I wonder?
