Subject:Re: barker mod for a speakeasy ?
No need. The XK3 has a pretty hot output, and will have no trouble driving the Speakeasy pre. I ran my Xk3 at about 12:00 into my pre, and could get the Barker effect (my preamp had it on both channels for my Electro) by simply turning the volume up on the organ.

Hi,
long time lurker, infrequent poster here.
I recently bought an XK-3 and have just got a Leslie 122 to match it.
I plan to have my speakeasy "keyboard" preamp pedal modified so i can
connect to the Leslie. Question is, should I get the barker mod while
I'm at it (I'll be sending the pedal to the US for the mod from
Australia)?
thanks
John
