As a website designer I totally agree about Flash - the "Skip Intro" button is there for a reason, and that reason is that 99% of people DON'T want to waste time watching an animation - they want to get to the nitty-gritty, and FAST! But it's not just bands and individuals - multinational corporations are equally guilty of this. In their case it's partly ego-massaging ("Doesn't this intro make us look GREAT?") and partly the perception that static HTML is boring. HTML in itself IS boring, because it is simply a MEDIUM. Look beyond the medium and make the MESSAGE exciting. Remember what I said - 99% of people see "Skip Intro" and click on it. How much did you say you spent on that Flash intro...
