Subject:Re: Motion Sound Pro-145
Hi,
I own a MS pro-145 since 6 month and I am very pleased with it.
First I hooked it up to my Roland VR-760 which has the same organ-
soundmodule as the VK-8.
A couple of weeks ago I treated myself on a new Hammond XK-3 and
hooked that one up to the Motion Sound pro-145. What a world of
difference !
I thought the Roland sounded great, but with the XK3 I get a much
warmer sound. Now, the hammond "bites"....Compared to this (and with
the same registration setup) the Roland is a little bit "weeny"....
As far as the leslie-box is concerned, I first wanted a real Leslie.
But even with the new Leslie 3300 weighing ± 55 KG, it is no option
to move it single-handedly.
So, as portability is concerned, I think the Motion-sound is great.
The sound can be adjusted in so many ways, you always can get what
you want.
The tube preamp (12AX7EH tubes) gives you all the "grunge" one might
need. And 200 Watts of power !
So globally, I am very satisfied with my Motion-Sound. It's
portable, well-made, the sound is as great as you would wish for,
and it is affordable.
If I would mention one minus, that would be the 12 inch woofer. I
wished that had been a 15 inch speaker.....
And thanks to Bob Rinker's adapter I can even connect it with a 11-
pin cable to the Hammond......
And the sales-service (in Holland) has been great (didn't need any
after-sale service so far....!)
Thank you for the music !!!
