This makes perfect sense. Hammond-Suzuki products use less common CC#'s than most manufacturers, and use a different form of MIDI control called "NRPN" for many of the functions. This "road less traveled" approach is good in your case, because the controls don't affect your ME1. If you were trying to control a synth or other module remotely, though, you might feel differently.
