Subject:XK-1 -- shallow triggering?

Hi group,

I demoed an XK-1 this weekend and was largely impressed with the sound
(the tiny speakers it was hooked up to didn't do it justice). I was
pleased to see that it uses the same Fatar keybed as used in the D3M.

However, the unit I tried was configured for "deep triggering", i.e.
bottom contact for 'note on', top contact for 'note off'. I was unable
to find an option to turn on "shallow (quick) triggering", and neither
was the salesman. Without that option, there's no way I can get an XK-1.

BUT -- on page 100 of the XK-1 manual, there appears to be a system
parameter, "Key Depth", which can be set to either "Normal" or "Deep"
-- does anyone know whether or not this is the setting I'm looking
for, and how to access it using the menu?

Many thanks,
Hugo
