use the basic Motif ES pianos with some beefed up EQ and multi-band
compressor on. they cut great. they are "thin" (add chorus if you
want a little fatter) but I think you'll find that's precisely why
they cut through. if you have something that sounds like a full,
fat Steinway grand, it won't cut through a rock mix.

or upgrade to the S90ES piano.
