On that note, I just bought a Hammond XK-3. It shipped out today and
should be at my front door on Wednesday. I'm very excited about sitting
down and playing with this thing. I've been reading the manual and
there's loads of things I wanna try out. The next 5 days will be the
longest 5 days of my life, haha. I actually ended up buying the XK-3
from a list member. He included the EXP-100F expression pedal, and the
11 pin to 6 pin connector kit. He also changed out the tubes inside the
XK-3 with some better sounding ones. I paid a very reasonable price for
the whole thing. One of the things I really missed on the VK-8 was
having separate sets of drawbars for each manual and the preset keys.
And the option to expand later is a great advantage.
