The reason you dont' see a lot of bad experience posting regarding Speakeasy is probably because they bend so far backwards to accommodate their client base, even those that buy their products used from non-dealers. If there are unhappy customers, I'm surprised they don't post: these days the anti-Speakeasy crowd would be there to rally their support.

If you feel there's a lot of bandwidth devoted to Speakeasy, check out how much of it is originated by "stop pimping" threads, and how much of it is due to new products. I believe that's the crux of the issue right there. While many companies devote product line to our needs, most of them aren't DEDICATED to our particular niche. Speakeasy obviously is as evidenced by the cornucopia of products aimed at us. Plus, in the last year, they've introduced a few new products for our interests, and that has generated a lot of conversation.

That should come as no surprise to anyone who's been here any length of time. When Hammond Suzuki came out with the XK3, this list was quite abuzz with talk about that...to the point where there were some complaints "Please start your own list". The Korg CX3 generated months and months of topic. The Vcombo did the same. I'm sure the HS 3300 will generate some activity, and so will the XM2 module (I got mine!).

But then, what would we talk about in the interim if we didn't have the Speakeasy pimps to bash on? (I STILL don't have an endorsement deal from Speakeasy, but they still make great product.)

suggest that there be a separate list for Speakeasy supporters.

But just as there is a separtate group for Roland users (VK Corral) I am
starting to think that there might be a need for a Speakeasy group.

The main reason for this is because I am starting to get a sense that
there is A LOT of free advertising being aimed at us. I can't know for
sure, but I am getting the sense that for a long time there have been
"preferred customers " among us.

It also seems to be fairly uncommon that anyone has submitted any
negative experiences posted about Speakeasy. I have actually received
some in private communications..... but those people are perhaps
reluctant to post anything.

I guess its just that, when one thing tends to dominate discussion it
makes me wonder.
