I completely agree. In fact, I would argue that NONE of the current generation of first-tier clones (CX-3/BX-3, Electro, NIB4-II, XK-3/XK-1, VK-8/VK-88, V5+/Key5, etc.) is "clearly superior" to the others. They all have their strong points and weak points, and some time sitting down and adjusting any of them can improve the sound quality. I was getting to the point where I was tiring of my BX-3; then I sat down with David Jacques' CX-3 settings and a little of my own ears, and I've got a whole new "animal" to play!

And let's also not forget that a true organ great like Joey D could sound awesome on a $99 (US) Casio. Spend some time working on your chops, your drawbar tone, and your musical sensibility, and the difference between two different clones will start to look less important.
