Subject:Re: Slightly OT: Speaker Dustcaps - how to "pop them out"
I was an inspector for Jensen Speakers in Punxsutawney,Pa.
Don't use a pin . Use a piece of tape to pull out dent. Duct Tape will work.Don't push tape on hard ,kind of dab at it lightly.
It will still have wrinkles in it.Won't affect the sound.

I've got a pair of KRK Rokit5 powered monitors that I use to play my
XK-3 through here at the house - They have no grills, and recently
there was a kids birthday party here at my house. I'm sure you can
see where I'm going with this. I came down to the music room and
found the center dustcap on both woofers pushed in.
Is there any recommended method to pull out the dents in the
dustcover? I've thought about possibly taking a straight pin and
making a tiny sharp hook to grab the cover and pull it out, but I'm
afraid to do that because it would require a hole in the dustcap.
Any ideas are welcome - thanks
PS: I hope nobody turns this into "If you just had a Speakeasy Roadbox
you wouldn't have this problem." :-)
