Subject:Re: rotor syncing
That's a fair question.
No, I never did but it may have crossed my mind when I
first got my 145 back in 1970 (I was 15). But I don't
think it takes to long to get used to the idea that
some of the beauty is in the randomness of it all.
When I use two Leslies together, I set the horns on
different pullys, one fast and one medium to get even
more "out of sync". And one of my Leslies is a modded
125 whose bass rotor spins reverse of the 145.
(because the motor hangs down instead of standing up)
I do however use 10 band EQ's to balance them out.
I once had someone suggest I run them opposite speeds
of each other but I dismissed that out of hand. Maybe
I'll try it someday, just to see(hear).
Sometimes I/we can get pretty narrow minded when we
really think we know what we're doing. When I think of
it, I try to be more open minded because sometimes you
might learn something new.
Good luck,
Rock
