I was watching an old video from my days in Dallas and the band "Daddy-o". I
used to play an A90-EX into a Motion Sound Pro3T. We used to do a lot of
great old rearranged standards like Take 5, Under the Sea, Daydream
Believer, and even some Niacin. (Yes, we were quite diverse and bazaar).
Half the time I played piano and the other half a B3 patch. I am still
amazed that I was able to play all those organ parts on a weighted keyboard
like the A90.

I'm with you there, Mark.
If a fully weighted 88 note controller is what's
called for, the A90 is still at the top of the heap. I
too, used to perform with one. In today's market, I'm
able to get the control features I need (when
necessary...) with my S90ES and Triton Extreme - and
keep my rig leaner than in the past. But, darn...I
miss some of those features found nowhere else but in
the A90/70. In the 90's, a client I worked for had 2
A70's (one of which I eventually owned - for a couple
of years). And, that is the best semi-weighted keybed
I've ever played. In my opinion it's the next best
thing for organ after a true waterfall keybed. The
black keys have enough side to side 'give' to prevent
damage from 'glisses', over time. (Unlike my D70,
which had 14 black keys replaced back in '92...) Wish
I could retrofit that keybed into my Triton Ext. 76...
