Subject:electric hum and buzz / XK-3 & 122 XB


I have a brand new Leslie 122 XB connected to my X3-3 via a 11 pin
cable. The sound is great as we all know, but I have a very
irritating noise problem:

There is a consicerable amount of hum all the time (I know that all
(tube) amps have a "base hum", but this is much much more).

Even more annoying is the loud irregular buzzing that takes place
during breaking (slow and fast lights off and break ligh on). When
the rotor and horn stops the buzzing goes away (and the hum
continues). Both are "electrical noises" not mechanical.

Do you have any good ideas what the problem might be (grounding
problems, other noise sources, defect with 122XB or XK-3, ...?). Any
similar experiences / suggestions how to analyse the reason and
source of the problem before starting to ship equipment to the
dealer.

I hope this is not a normal "feature" of the system, but can be
fixed.
