Funny you mention that. The keyboardist in the band that we opened for
this past Saturday was using a leslie and an ART preamp. He was using
an XM-1 and I was surprised how good it sounded. Just goes to show
what a real leslie (+ decent preamp) can do for the tone of an average
clone. I briefly talked to him and it turns out he built his own
footswitch/connector pedal for the leslie and was using an ART preamp.
Made me wish I had some electrical engineering skills.
